East London & the City Local Dental Committee consists of 6 elected members from each of the following boroughs
- City & Hackney
- Newham
- Tower Hamlets
The Committee is a statutory body representing, in the main, General Dental Practitioners (GDPs) based in the Northeast London Integrated Care Board area. Other dental practitioners may be co-opted to the Committee to represent special groups.
As the local representative committee for independent dental practitioners, the LDC has the statutory right to be consulted by the above Integrated Care Board on issues related to the dental profession.
